Примечание
Множитель преобразования может быть постоянной величиной, независимой от времени и координат (обычно в этих случаях он называется масштабом). При этом для подобных процессов одинаковой физической природы множители преобразования — величины безразмерные; для подобных физических процессов разной физической природы — размерные.
